The material engineer is responsible for the running a part of the material laboratory. He/she will be responsible for assessing which ressource is needed to fulfill requestors demands, assigning tasks to technicians and himself/herself performing some of the testing. This laboratory activities concerns mainly failure analsysis from internal and external customers, standard post-test analysis, material validation and some non-conventional tests. He/she will work closly with expert team, including durablity and material experts in order to report laboratory tests conclusions. It is expected that, he/she will help in the development of the laboratory improving technical nowledge but also efficiency and general quality of the testing.
