The Acquisition Buyer is responsible for anticipating the specific requirements for new program acquisitions (supplier technologies, geographical location and target costs), and to ensure the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support the acquisition. As purchasing member of acquisition team, he/she participates to definition of target settings. The role also includes selecting expert suppliers from the agreed supplier panel to achieve acquisition objectives.
